When you use GiftYourSong, you may provide names, relationship details, occasions, memories, custom lyrics, preferred language, musical style, voice direction, email address, reveal page messages, uploaded cover images, and support messages.
You should only provide personal information about other people if you have a reasonable basis or permission to use it for a personalised gift.
2. Information collected automatically
We may collect technical information such as device type, browser, pages visited, approximate timestamps, anonymous session identifiers, authentication status, checkout status, error logs, and usage limits such as daily preview counts.
The website may use cookies, local storage, or session storage to keep you signed in, preserve your create-flow progress, remember language preferences, store temporary test or checkout state, and keep the app working across page changes.
3. How we use information
- To create lyrics, song prompts, previews, full songs, cover artwork, reveal pages, manage links, and downloads.
- To process payments, verify successful checkout, prevent unpaid access, and record purchase status.

4. Third-party services
GiftYourSong uses trusted third-party providers to operate the service. These providers process data only as needed for their role.
- Supabase for authentication, database, storage, edge functions, and secure signed media links.
- Stripe for checkout, payment processing, fraud checks, receipts, and payment metadata.
- Resend for transactional email delivery, including support emails and song delivery emails.
- AI/music generation providers such as Suno for generating song previews, lyrics, audio, and related media from the prompts and details you submit.
- Netlify for hosting, deployment, edge routing, and static website delivery.
5. Payment data
Payment details are handled by Stripe. GiftYourSong receives checkout status, payment identifiers, amount, currency, customer email, and related metadata, but we do not store your full card number.
6. Emails and delivery links
If you provide an email address, we use it to send support replies, order-related messages, gift links, manage links, and download links. Manage links and signed download links can provide access to private content, so you should not forward them to people you do not trust.
7. Guest users and accounts
You can start as a guest. Guest sessions may use anonymous authentication so we can associate drafts, previews, payments, and gift pages with the same browser session. If you create an account or sign in, your saved samples and purchases may be associated with that account.
8. Retention
We keep song drafts, generated versions, gift pages, purchase records, and delivery records for as long as needed to provide downloads, manage links, customer support, fraud prevention, tax/accounting records, and service reliability.
Some temporary data, preview state, signed links, logs, and session storage may expire sooner. You can contact support to request deletion or help with a gift page.
9. Sharing and public pages
Gift pages can be private, unlisted, or public where those settings are available. Public or unlisted pages may be viewed by people who have the link. Public pages may also be eligible for gallery or promotional display if you choose a public setting.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to run GiftYourSong, comply with law, process payments, deliver emails, or protect the service.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures such as authenticated sessions, row-level access controls, service-role separation, HTTPS, secure payment providers, and signed media URLs. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep private and manage links safe.
